Burma Liveaboards
Diving Adventure Burma:
7 diving days / 8 nights
South East Asia Liveaboards are the
PIONEERS of diving adventure tours in the Mergui Archipelago. For over 50 years the
beautiful Mergui Archipelago, comprising over 800 islands, has been locked away, and has
remained pristine and untouched. This area offers pioneer diving as well as the dive sites
which we have already found to be excellent.
Our first trip in February 1997 to the southern
islands, gave our customers the rare privilege of seeing one of the worlds last
unexplored archipelagos.
During our first few trips we were restricted to the southern islands. We were then
granted an additional license to go further north for the M7 diving cruise and these
started in October 1997.
The diving in Burma differs from Thailand. Burma is
action-packed with large pelagic and schooling fish. Big sharks are abound - silvertip,
black tip, gray reef sharks, hammerheads, whale sharks and the occasional bull shark. We
have seen over 100 Manta Rays on one dive alone! Great macro life can be found. Sea
horses, ornate ghost-pipe and stone fish are amongst the archipelagos rare
inhabitants. Huge barrel sponges, soft and hard corals abound.
We are the only dive operator covering this area.
Recently, our Burma adventure tours have been featured in the TV Series "Travel Asia
and Beyond".
